Meeting Duncan was a pivotal moment in my that inspired my own creative reawakening and participation in community beyond what I had known was possible before. Duncan is a social and creative alchemist, who utilizes his unwavering optimism and love of people to bring us together, share ideas, and inspire creative process within one another. I am grateful to call Duncan a close friend, one whom I’ve had many magical community building and art inspiring adventures with. He will go at great lengths for his love of art and creative vision, including taking a vow of silence while he wrote Spiraling Towards Centre, which aided his ability to be present with hundreds of different people for 4 days. It was their essence, experiences, and wisdom alongside his own, that fueled the creation of the story itself. In this way his art goes beyond any selfish desire and focuses on the importance of connections with those around him. It is truly a blessing to witness where his art has taken him on his journey and I can’t wait to see how many more live become artfully inspired and joyfully creative because of his influence.
